Clarion Gaming, the organizer of ICE and IGB Affiliate conferences, announced on August 1 that the traditional venue for these events is going to move in 2025. Having weighed a number of factors, the advisory board took a decision to hold the conferences in the vibrant city of Barcelona on a five-year contract from 2025-2029.
The largest tech event is scheduled for January 20-22, 2025 in the Catalan capital, which was among the choices in a long 6-month bid process. High-class facilities, cosmopolitan, yet classical atmosphere, a huge and well-suited 240 000 sqm area of Fira de Barcelona are some of the determinants in favour of Barcelona as a new home for the gathering of iGaming industry giants and pioneers, as well as new players. Fira de Barcelona also reflects its growing reputation as a hub for iGaming software providers and industry leaders.
In an interview with Gambling Insider, the managing director of Clarion Gaming grounded the priority given to Barcelona:
“This was a complex, customer-led undertaking. The process enabled us to identify the city that our customers believe is best equipped to be our strategic partner for the future and is able to host two world-class events which meet the needs of businesses of all sizes and locations across every part of the gaming and ICE Community.
“The successful bid by Barcelona was notable for the scale of its world-class facilities, outstanding hospitality infrastructure, logistics, ROI for our customers and ability to scale. By forging a progressive partnership comprising the international industry, Fira de Barcelona and public and private stakeholders in Barcelona, Catalonia and Spain we have a huge opportunity to create an important legacy for the future.”
The world of gambling industry is excited to meet for rewarding partnerships and opportunities in Barcelona in 2025 and open a new page of ICE and IGB Affiliate history.
